[TS4] Winters Family in the sims 4

[Used DLC : City Living, Cats & Dogs, Seasons, Vampires, Parenthood]

As I mentioned (in Korean) eariler, my recent game play is focused on the 'reproduction of play from January to August. But after I turned on the expansion pack 'Seasons' which is not used in the previous play, I determined to make a new family. At that time, I made my mind to 'use English name in new family'.

I started from tutorial for making a new sim

Using English in the sim's name was very challenging for me. I felt it was almost new start sims 4. So I started a new tutorial for new sim.

I played tutorial in both of English and Korean, and I thought that the voice actor, not content, in Korean is more attractive to me. So I played Korean tutorial to make English sim.

As you can see, English version is almost same.

And I changed my language setting in sims 4 as English(US). It takes some time to check and to download concents. Because my connection was not so fast, I should wait several hours.

Aerith in the Korean version

I make a small room for a new comer. Her first name is Aerith, but looks like her family name is Aerith. Because it was in Korean version.

In the English version, the first name goes former. I think English version is quite similar to the Korean version. It is very reasonable. Because it is same game. Moreover, my computer is not made in Korea, so both of Korean and English are foriegn language for my computer.

My first holiday experience was harvestfest

Aerith met a vampire family and get a marriage. They made a new house in Willow Creek. I changed the lot name to English, Winters now lives in 'Hallow Slough'. Their first holidy was harvestfest. Because it was very first holiday for the player, the holiday was perfectly enjoyed. It can be seen all of activities needed are performed.

Free food and Drinks?

There are various activities in the holiday. Among them, free food and drink event is present.

It is free, in real!

Of course, all of sims enjoyed. Although some of family members are vampire. :)

The seasons expansion pack already showed its values with holidays, but the main content is 'changing of weather and seasons'. I hope to show change of seasons sometimes later.

[사용 DLC : 시끌벅적 도시 생활, 고양이와 강아지, 사계절이야기, 뱀파이어, 육아일기]

예전에 적었듯, 현재 플레이의 목표는 '1월부터 8월까지 했던 것의 재현'입니다. 그런데 '사계절이야기'라는, 기존에 한 적 없는 확장팩을 열고 보니 새 가족을 만들어야겠다 생각했고- 그때 '한번 영어로 만들어볼까?'하는 생각이 들었습니다.

특별히 튜토리얼부터 다시 시작했습니다.

영어를 쓰는 것은 플레이어 입장에서도 무척 도전적인 일이었고 거의 새로 시작하는 기분으로 임하게 되었습니다. 그래서 튜토리얼부터 새로 해봤습니다.

튜토리얼의 내용은 영어로 하나 한국어로 하나 비슷한데 설명하는 목소리가 한국이 훨씬 낫더군요. 그래서 영문 이름으로 할 거면서 튜토리얼은 한국어로 진행했습니다.

짜잔~ 영문버전인데.. 별로 다른 건 없습니다.

그리고 언어 설정을 영어로 변경. 언어를 바꾸면 컨텐츠를 체크하고 필요한 것을 다운로드 받는데, 제가 인터넷이 느리다 보니 영문판을 하기 위해 몇시간을 기다려야 했습니다.

한글 버전에서의 모습

새로운 심에게 스테파니가 낚시를 위해 잠시 썼던 원룸을 줬습니다. 이 심의 이름(first name)이 Aerith인데 한국은 성을 먼저 쓰니까 꼭 성이 Aerith 같네요.

당연히 영문으로 보면 성이 뒤로 갑니다. Winters 가문이구요. 게임 화면 자체는 거의 같습니다. 같은 게임이고, 특히나 제 컴퓨터는 한국 컴퓨터가 아니다 보니 영어나 한국어나 제 컴퓨터 입장에서는 외국어이니 당연한 일입니다.

처음으로 겪은 홀리데이는 수확제였습니다.

Aerith는 NPC 뱀파이어를 꼬셔서 가족을 이뤘구요. 이제 원룸에 살 수 없다보니 윌로우 크릭에 새 집을 마련했는데, 가족이 영문이니 부지명도 영문이어야 맞겠다 싶어서 '신성한 보금자리'라는 부지명도 영문버전에 맞게 'Hallow Slough'로 변경했습니다. 이후 맞이한 첫 홀리데이는 수확제였는데 플레이어 입장에서도 처음 보는 축제라서 모든 전통활동을 다 수행했죠.

공짜로 먹고 마시는 축제도 있네?

플레이 해보니 다양한 축제 전통이 있던데.. 이걸 한글로 못 봐서 무슨 축제에 무슨 전통인지 모르겠지만 '도시에서의 밤'쯤 되려나요. 공짜로 먹을 수 있는 좋은 축제가 있네요.

가보니까 정말로 공짜! 모두 공짜!!

당연히, 모든 심이 이것을 즐겼습니다. 심지어 일부 심은 뱀파이어였는데 말이죠. ^^

확장팩을 해보니까 이미 홀리데이 만으로도 충분히 가치를 하는 듯 합니다. 그런데 사계절 이야기의 핵심은 날씨와 계절의 변화이죠. 다음 글은 아니지만, 이것에 대한 글도 조만간 나오지 않을까 싶네요.
